John Maddox - Founder

With a career that encompasses business restructuring & turnaround consulting, private equity investing and  portfolio value creation, and most recently a successful sale of a PE-backed business whilst Finance Director, John Maddox is adept at navigating a range of financial landscapes and stages of a business lifecycle.

In 2023, John achieved the sale of Absolutely, London’s oldest B2B courier business to DPD Group whilst operating as  Finance Director at the time. He was subsequently appointed to the role of Director of Absolutely to lead the business  on a day-to-day basis at the critical post-merger integration stage of the transaction. 

With the immediate integration  project complete, he departed Absolutely in April 2024 to start JPM Executive Consulting Ltd. 

Harnessing his time as a consultant in the business turnaround and  corporate recovery market with Zolfo Cooper Europe and then AlixPartners, during which he also qualified as a  Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), John gained invaluable experience of  conducting in-depth analysis by way of independent business reviews and contingency planning to identify  operational, financial, and strategic issues hindering a company’s performance and cash flow position. Taking these experiences forward in his career has given him the ability to develop tailored turnaround or growth plans designed to stabilise, optimise, and enhance profitability with the businesses he works with.
